Lincoln Avenue Elementary School was recently named a 2023-25 School of Excellence by the National PTA. Lincoln is one of 19 schools statewide and 319 nationwide to receive this distinction. To earn the designation, PTAs and schools collect feedback from their communities in order to implement action plans that improve family engagement. Schools that show improvement are named Schools of Excellence. Lincoln Avenue principal Dominic Armano said that last year administration and the PTA worked together to achieve the distinction. “The project involved conducting community surveys, identifying areas of concern, creating action plans, and fostering additional parent partnerships to address these issues and ensure ongoing collaboration,” Armano said.
